Google Analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics. When allowed, it measures page views, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 90% article progress, and affiliate-link clicks. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals are currently disabled.

Query strings and fragments are removed from page locations, and paths are removed from external referrers before these values are sent. An explicit referrer or campaign from services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity may be classified as AI-assistant traffic. Traffic without a source is not guessed to be AI traffic.

Google may process browser, device, and approximate region information under its Analytics terms. This site does not send names, email addresses, or a first-party user ID. Your choice is stored in this browser's localStorage and can be changed through “Analytics settings” in the footer.

Affiliate links

To improve product guides, the site sends a site ID, link ID, provider, page path, event ID, and click time. The application database does not store an IP address, cookie identifier, or destination URL.

First-party click measurement operates regardless of the Google Analytics choice. It does not delay navigation and keeps the retailer as the direct destination.

Advertising

Google AdSense is not currently in use. If advertising is introduced, the existing analytics choice will not be treated as advertising consent. The site will provide the additional disclosures and choices required at that time and ask again.

The Considered Desk editorial team operates this site. Article sources and affiliate relationships are disclosed separately so readers can evaluate them.
